Lou Delemere (Ally Sheedy) seems to have it all: fame (professional golfer turned motivational speaker), money, and a beautiful live-in girlfriend, Alex (Patsy Kensit). Her seemingly perfect life is turned upside down when she is attacked near her home in Manhattan. When she and Alex retreat to her estate on Shelter Island they find themselves trapped by a severe storm and cut off from all communitcation. Soon a stranger knocks at the door and a dangerous game begins where no one is who he appears to be.
